Anima (2002-2007)

Training in social support

Following the terrorist attacks suffered by Algeria in the 1990s, its population was deeply affected and destabilized. Three local associations: SARP (Société Algérienne de Recherche en Psychologie), Bnet Fatma N'Soumer, and SOS Femmes en détresse, mobilized to create a program to help Algerian women who were victims of terrorist violence reintegrate into society. Based in France and Algeria, the association CLEF also participated in the development of the following activities: medical and psychological care and support, legal assistance, training, and employment support.

In this project, our involvement resulted in the development and implementation of a training program for Algerian association leaders, the creation of a guide to help them find funding, and technical support in evaluating results.

Anima has enabled 547 women to improve their situation through better economic integration, awareness of their rights, and also by addressing and verbalizing their suffering.
