Global Compact

BATIK International joined in May 2010 Global Compact, the United Nations policy initiative for business that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. By joining this network BATIK International looks forward to the reinforcement and development of new partnerships together with those entities backed by a well-known background and experience in CSR practices.

RSE & PED

BATIK International is, since 2010, member of the PED Consultative Committee. PED is a French-speaking platform to promote CSR values among companies and governmental institutions, especially Vietnam. The first committee meeting took place in Paris on July 6th 2010.

Comité 21

Since June 2010, BATIK International is member of Comité 21, a network of associations, companies, and institutions committed with sustainable development and the environment. This network specially supports the global action plan Agenda 21 adopted in the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development, also known as the 1992 Earth’s Summit.
For Comité 21 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is part of the three commitments it endorses and is understood as :

• Assistance to its member organizations in the achievement of a strategy of sustainable development
• Networking possibilities between other members : NGO, associations, public institutions, international organizations...
• Development of useful tools on management or on specific economic sectors.
