MOBIL’Asie: an international mobility programme

The MOBIL’Asie programme set up by BATIK International in partnership with the Ile-de-France Region council offers jobseekers in the Ile-de-France Region the chance to go on a six-month work placement to Vietnam in a company in the country’s capital, Hanoi, which has been a partner of the Ile-de-France Region since 1989.

This integrated scheme includes linguistic and intercultural training and follow-up during and after the stay. It acts as a career springboard for the jobseekers who can develop cross-functional, professional and linguistic skills while shaping their future career plans with a connection to a region with a future.

Since 2002, five programmes have been run enabling over 67 jobseekers from the region aged between 19-30 years old to carry out a placement in one of the programme’s 30 partner companies. Having completed the MOBIL’Asie programme, around a third of the jobseekers have remained in Asia with a job into the bargain.

A new year group open to 15 Ile-de-France region residents aged from 19 – 30 years old is getting underway in August 2010. The group will arrive in Hanoi at the beginning of October 2010.
