DIFF Chine

Support for the management of the DIFF Chine project run by the City of Paris (2006)

The DIFF Chine project was a follow-up to the European Chinese and Integration project and was run by the integration and city policy office’s integration unit. The project sought to develop job market integration pathways for the Chinese, particularly women and young people, while showcasing and modelling good practice which could increase the number of beneficiaries. It also aimed to identify and publicise a network of stakeholders specialising in working with Chinese residents of the Ile-de-France Region.

The making and showing of a film, "7 femmes chinoises", retracing the life stories of Chinese women living in France, was the cornerstone of awareness-raising meetings in Paris, Lille and Lyon.

1,500 copies of a practical guide to assist French organisations in helping Chinese migrants to integrate, Chinois en Ile de France : Clés et repères, were published. Download it by clicking on the link below.

DIFF Chine received funding from the City of Paris, EQUAL community initiative programme (action 3), the Ile-de-France Region and the FASILD (action and support fund for integration and the fight against discrimination).
