Contractorship assistance contract for the engineering of the greater Lyon’s Urban Community and prospects (2007-2009)

Since 2007, BATIK International represents a group of consultants benefiting from a contractorship assistance contract for the engineering of Greater Lyon’s decentralized cooperation projects.

This Contractorship Assistance aims at:

• supporting the Urban Community International Relations Department and Water Department’s decentralized cooperation services) in terms of the orientation, identification, design, financial engineering, assistance and development of decentralized cooperation projects;
• supporting the urban community in the implementation of communication actions for these projects;
• supporting the search for specific funds for the decentralized cooperation from competent donors;
• operational support missions: implementation of viability studies of the selected decentralized cooperative projects, research and setting up of complementary financing, implementation of training actions, expert missions assistance, project evaluation, etc.

Within the framework of this Contractorship Assistance, BATIK International piloted works dealing with:

• the evaluation of international actions run by the Greater Lyon Water Department and to define the evolution and development prospects of these actions (see the hyperlink):
• the preliminary analysis for the signing of a new agreement between the Water Department of the Greater Lyon and the North Lebanon Water Establishment (2008) (see the hyperlink);
• the implementation of a training center for restoration techniques for old buildings in Algeria (2005-2008), in collaboration with the Greater Lyon International Relations Department.
